The whistleblowers claim that OpenAI used restrictive NDAs to silence former employees, potentially violating whistleblower protection laws.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese contracts sent a message that \u2018we don\u2019t want employees talking to federal regulators,\u2019\u201d said one of the whistleblowers<\/p>\n<p>U.S. Senator Grassley commented that OpenAI\u2019s policies seem to discourage whistleblowers from speaking up. He stressed that OpenAI\u2019s NDAs need to change.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint, addressed to SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, calls for swift and strong action to enforce whistleblower laws and follow President Biden\u2019s executive order on creating safe and trustworthy AI systems.<\/p>\n<p>In response, OpenAI spokesperson Hannah Wong stated that the company\u2019s whistleblower policy protects employees\u2019 rights to report issues.
