Demand far exceeded supply, with the bond 13x oversubscribed. The digital bond issuance will be roughly in equal amounts in four currencies: HKD, RMB, USD and EUR.<\/p><p>\u201cThe HKSAR Government\u2019s third issuance of digital green bond attracted overwhelming subscription, with the issuance amount reaching a new high of HK$10 billion, reflecting the market support for tokenised products,\u201d said Mr Paul Chan, the Financial Secretary. \u201cA number of innovative features have also been introduced to further promote fintech empowerment in the development of bond market as well as green and sustainable finance market.\u201d<\/p><p>Amongst the innovative features was the option to settle the HKD and RMB bond issuances in tokenized central bank money, as previously reported.
