It proves that there are established businesses and organizations that want to learn about new technologies by doing, and not by blocking,\u201d said the exchange\u2019s CEO, Holger Arians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Australia Post, formerly Postmaster\u2019s General Department, is one of the country\u2019s longest-running organizations, established as a private entity in 1809 with former convict Issac Nichols appointed as its first postmaster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAustralia Post has for a long time played an important role in the community to make services accessible to all,\u201d said Susan Nicholson, AusPost\u2019s head of business and government financial services. \u201cPost Billpay has been one of Australia\u2019s most trusted bill payment methods for over 20 years, and we\u2019re pleased to now provide the ability for bitcoin bills to be paid at a post office, which will come with a product enhancement that offers ID verification and real-time bill payment confirmation back to the biller.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Australian Taxation Office,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ato.gov.au\/Media-centre\/Media-releases\/ATO-receives-cryptocurrency-data-to-assist-tax-compliance\/#:~:text=It%20is%20estimated%20that%20there,have%20invested%20in%20crypto%2Dassets.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">between 500,000 and 1 million residents<\/a>&nbsp;of the country already own crypto assets.
